Dortmund have been in really poor form lately, but I don’t blame them too much, as they have been decimated by injuries the past couple of months. Even so, they are coming off yet another loss mid-week for the Champions League, where they fell to Real Madrid by 2-3 on the road. They failed to move on to the next round of the competition, but they will continue their European trip in the Europa League. They will now return home for their next match, where they will play host to Werder Bremen on Saturday, for the Bundesliga.
Dortmund (6-4-4) suffered a tough 2-3 loss on the road against Real Madrid on Wednesday, in the last match-day of the Group stage in the Champions League. They had already been eliminated from the competition, but they will now continue their European endeavors in the Europa League. Dortmund have been a terrible mess in the psat couple of months, having only won a single Cup match in that span (1-6-5). They have now fallen to the 6th spot of the Bundesliga with 22 points, having already fell ten points behind league leaders Bayern Munich. They have been equally mediocre at home so far (3-2-1), where they have scored 20 goals against 11 conceded.

Werder Bremen (2-7-5) are coming off a pretty balanced match against Stuttgart at home, where they actually grabbed all three points in a 0-1 win. That win was a bright spot in their very obscure season so far, as Werder Bremen have only had a single win prior to that. Despite the win, Werder Bremen are still sitting at the penultimate spot of the Bundesliga with 11 points, having scored 9 goals against 16 conceded. They are already sitting three points below the relegation zone, and that deficit might increase after Saturday. Werder Bremen have been really weak on the road so far, and that might not change here (0-3-4).
