It will be a battle of Pac-12 undefeated teams as the USC Trojans (4-0) head to the Pacific Northwest to meet with the Washington State Cougars (4-0) at Martin Stadium in Pullman, Washington. The last meeting between the two in 2014 resulted in a decisive Trojans victory when USC rolled Wazzu by a score of 44-17. Both teams enter this one ranked as the Trojans sit at #5 and Washington State come in at #16. Kick-off is set for 10:30 PM ET on Saturday, September 30th. The game will be televised for national audiences on ESPN.
USC Trojans at Washington State Cougars Overview
The Trojans come in off what many class as yet another disappointing performance. USC defeated cross-state nemesis California 30-20 in Strawberry Canyon on Saturday but once again failed to generate a cover as a 16.5-point choice at close. The Trojans struggled mightily against the Golden Bears and went into halftime deadlocked with Big C at 13 a side. Many are awaiting the Trojans to put together a victory that justifies all the hype they received in the pre-season.
For Washington State, sky seems to be the limit for the Cougars. The vaunted air raid attack that has been implemented has taken Wazzu to new heights. Currently, the Cougars own the third best passing attack in America. Most recently, the Cougars trashed the visiting Nevada Wolf Pack at home when they beat them down by a score of 45-7.
