College Football Betting Odds

Week 13’s college football betting odds opened Mizzou at -4 for this game, with an over/under of 46. Early betting action then dipped that total to 45.

Volunteers vs. Tigers Set-Up

Tennessee started 1-4 this season and looked terrible doing it, losing to Georgia Southern, blowing a game against BYU, falling badly to Florida and Georgia. But the Vols are 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS over their last five games, after winning at Kentucky two weeks ago 17-13. Tennessee then enjoyed the previous week off.

The Volunteers spotted the Wildcats the first 13 points of the game a couple of weeks ago, then scored the next 17 to take the lead. In the end, Tennessee won it with a goal-line stand with just over a minute to go.

The Vols actually got out-played by Kentucky, losing time of possession by a huge 42:18 split. They just made some plays at the right times, on both sides of the ball.

Three weeks ago, Tennessee defeated a decent UAB team 30-7, covering as a two-touchdown favorite, and just before that, the Vols beat South Carolina outright 41-21 as four-point dogs.

At 5-5 overall, Tennessee needs one win in its last two games – it’s got Vanderbilt next week – to become bowl-eligible.

Missouri, meanwhile, started 5-1 this season but lugs a four-game losing streak into this week, after falling at home to Florida last week 23-6. The Tigers managed just a pair of field goals on the day and came up empty ATS as home dogs of 6.5 points.

Missouri got out-gained by the Gators 386-256.

Two weeks ago, the Tigers lost at Georgia 27-0; just before that, they lost at Kentucky 29-7, and just before that, they lost at Vanderbilt 21-14. So Mizzou has scored a total of 27 points over its last four games.

At 5-5 overall, the Tigers also need one win in their last two games – they’re at Arkansas next week – to become bowl-eligible.

Vols-Tigers Recent History

Since joining the SEC back in 2012, Missouri leads the series with Tennessee five games to two, going 5-2 ATS along the way. Two years ago, the Tigers beat the Vols 50-17, and last year they won this match-up by that exact same score.

Missouri covered last year as a six-point favorite, and two years ago as a 12-point fave. Also, those games played over totals of 64 and 58.
