Watford snapped their losing streak on Boxing Day, when they defeated Leicester by 1-2 at home. They will now remain at home for their next match, where they will play host to Swansea on Saturday. Swansea are coming off a really tough loss against Liverpool, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Swansea (3-13-4) suffered a punch in the mouth when they visited Liverpool, where they were destroyed by the local team by a massive 0-5. They conceded the first goal at the 6th minute, and it was all downhill from that point. Swansea have been really uninspiring this season, and it’s not due to their bad roster, as they have had a lot of injuries to key players. They are still stuck at the bottom of the Premier League with just 13 points, also featuring the worst offense with just 11 goals so far. They have the worst road record in the league (1-7-2), where they have lost each of their last seven. However, the recent change in coach will surely boost the team towards a new direction, and I feel that it won’t be long before Swansea make their comeback.

On the other hand, Watford (7-9-4) had some really good luck in their Boxing Day match against Leicester at home, as they only recorded a single shot on target, but won by 1-2. Their opponents took the lead at the 37th minute, but Watford managed to score once at the 45th, and saw the opposing goalkeeper score an own goal at the 65th minute for the final 1-2. That was their first win after four consecutive losses. They are now sitting at the 10th spot of the Premier League with 25 points, having scored 29 goals against 35 conceded. They have been mediocre at home (3-4-3), where they have only kept a couple of clean sheets all season. Moreover, there have been Over 2.5 Goals in three of their last four home matches, but Watford have conceded four goals twice in that span.
