Juventus (16-0-2) were not very good in their away match against Atalanta over the weekend, where they split the points in a 2-2 draw. They took an early lead at the 2nd minute when their opponents scored an own goal, but Atalanta pulled even at the 24th minute with Zapata. Juventus were left with ten men at the pitch when Betancur saw his second yellow of the night at the 53rd minute. Atalanta took the lead just three minutes later when Zapata scored his second goal of the night before Cristiano Ronaldo pulled even for Juventus at the 78th minute for the final 2-2. Prior to that, Juventus beat Roma and Torino in a couple of very narrow wins and are now undefeated in their last three. They have won each of their last four home matches in all competitions, all accompanied by clean sheets. On the other hand, Sampdoria (8-5-5) are having a sublime season so far and are currently sitting at the 5th spot of the league table with 29 points. They are just one ahead of AC Milan and two behind Lazio but are still sitting inside the top-six spots that grant entrance to the European competitions next season. Sampdoria is coming off a solid performance at home against Chievo last week, winning by an easy 0-2. They scored twice at the start of the second half and recorded their third consecutive win. Moreover, they are undefeated in their last seven matches in all competitions (5-0-2). Sampdoria has been mediocre on the road so far (3-3-3), where they have scored 16 goals and have conceded 13 in the process. They have won just once in their last five away matches (1-2-2) but have scored in each of their previous six. The problem is their defense, as they have kept just a single clean sheet in that span. Sampdoria will be lucky to be coming into this match with a sole injury concern, as Berezynski is the only one listed as questionable.
