AS Roma have been quite steady lately after a three-match win-less streak. They have done a great job in their last three matches, counting just as many wins in that span. AS Roma will now be hosted by relegation-threatened Frosinone on Saturday. Frosinone met a tough loss on the road against Juventus in their last match, but it was expected. They don’t have the firepower to threaten AS Roma on this one though.
Frosinone (3-14-7) are coming into this match after a really bad 0-3 loss on the road against Juventus last week. Their opponents quickly took control of the match and scored an early goal at the 6th minute. They doubled that at the 17th and sealed of with another goal at the hour mark for the final 0-3. But in their previous match, Frosinone pulled a great away win by 1-0 against Sampdoria. They have not been in very good shape lately though, losing three of their last five (2-3-0). Frosinone are currently sitting at the 19th spot of the league table with 16 points, five below the relegation zone. They have the worst offense with just 17 goals and the 2nd worst defense with 46 conceded. Frosinone are also the only team to not have won at home so far in the season (0-6-5), scoring just 6 goals in the process. Moreover, they have conceded 22 goals at home, an average of two per match.
On the other hand, AS Roma (11-5-8) kind of struggled in their last match, where they hosted Bologna. They were actually pretty weak in the first half but managed to hold on. They were slightly improved in the second half and took the lead at the 55th minute with Kolarov. They doubled their lead at the 73rd minute but conceded a late goal at the 84th minute that stressed them a bit. But they held on to their lead and recorded their third consecutive win in all competitions. AS Roma are currently sitting at the 5th spot of the league table with 41 points, just one behind AC Milan and the top four spots that grant entrance to the Champions League next season. AS Roma have been quite mediocre on the road so far (4-4-4), winning just two of their last eight matches in all competitions (2-4-2).
