Watford has been, without a doubt, one of the surprise packages of the Premier League this season. They have won all four league matches so far in the season, and also one game for the Carabao Cup. They have already subdued Tottenham and will now play host to Manchester United on Saturday. Manchester United have not been very stable so far, but they recorded a nice win over Burnley before the international break. There is still a lot of tension inside the team’s ranks, but they will have to deal with it.
Watford (4-0-0) are coming off a really great result before the international break, as they defeated Tottenham by 1-2 at home. It was a really balanced first half, and pretty dull actually. Watford had only two scoring chances, while Tottenham failed to get a single shot on target. Watford runs out of luck at the 53rd minute when Doucoure scored an own goal and gave Tottenham the lead. However, Troy Deeney pulled even at the 69th minute, with Cathcart overturning the lead at the 76th. Both goals were assisted by Greek left-back Jose Holebas. Watford has now won all five of their matches so far in the season, but have kept one clean sheet in their four Premier League matches. They will be missing Cleverley and Kaboul who are injured, while Deulofeu remains as questionable.
On the other hand, Manchester United (2-2-0) looked pretty solid in their away win over Burnley before the international break. They made a dominant start in the first half and destroyed their opponents on both ends of the pitch. Romelu Lukaku took the lead at the 27th minute and doubled that at the 44th. Manchester United kept on pushing at the second half and even had a chance to widen the gap, but Paul Pogba missed from the penalty spot at the 69th minute. Marcus Rashford was sent off just two minutes later and has received disciplinary action. Manchester United are now sitting 10th in the Premier League with six points. They will have several absences here, as up to six players are set to miss. Rashford is suspended, while Jones is injured. Moreover, Fellaini, Shaw, Rojo, and Dalot are all considered as doubtful to participate.
