Stoke City have made a pretty strong start in the new season in the Premier League, despite their very tough schedule. However, they are in for another hard match when they will play host to Manchester United on Saturday, September 9th. Manchester United have been dominant so far in the season, as they have won all 3 matches, accompanied by clean sheets too.

Manchester United (3-0-0) are the only team to have won all 3 matches so far in the Premier League, and they have also not conceded a single goal so far. They are coming into this match after another dominant performance against Leicester City, whom they easily defeated by 0-2 at home. United were excellent in the first half, as they created numerous scoring chances (but failed to score), while they didn’t allow their opponents a lot of room to operate. United were awarded a penalty kick at the start of the second half, but Lukaku missed from the spot. Even so, they took the lead at the 70th minute, and doubled that at the 82nd, in what was a pretty balanced second half. They are of course sitting at the top of the league table, and they look like they will have a pretty strong season.

Stoke City (1-1-1) are coming into this match after a hard-fought 1-1 draw on the road against West Brom. They entered the match with a lot of force, and quickly took the upper hand, but despite the 8 scoring chances, the two teams were stuck at a goal-less draw in the first half. The second half was completely balanced between the two, as they each had their fair share of scoring chances, but it was West Brom who took the lead at the 61st minute with Jay Rodriguez. Stoke City weren’t going to leave this match without any points, as they managed to pull even at the 77th minute with Peter Crouch. They are now sitting at the 11th spot of the Premier League with 4 points, having scored 2 goals against 2 conceded.
