Arsenal (9-4-1) are coming into this match after a really strong performance at home on Wednesday, where they destroyed Huddersfield by a whopping 0-5. They managed to take an early lead with Lacazette at the 3rd minute of the match, but the two teams were goal-less for the next hour or so. However, Arsenal shifted the gear after the hour mark, and managed to score three goals in a four minute span (68th, 69th and 72nd minute). Mesut Ozil assisted the first two of those goals, and scored the other one, while Giroud signed off with a 5th goal at the 87th minute. Arsenal have now won two in a row, and 3 of their last 4, keeping clean sheets in each of the 3 wins. They are now sitting at the 4th spot of the Premier League with 28 points, having scored 28 goals, against 16 conceded so far. Arsenal and Manchester United are the only two teams to have won all 7 matches at home so far, and Arsenal have scored 20 goals in the process, against just 4 conceded.
On the other hand we have Manchester United (10-2-2), who are coming off somewhat of a scare in their road match against Watford on Tuesday. They actually made a great start in the match, as they took the lead at the 19th minute, and had already extended that to three goals by the 32nd minute. It all looked like an easy Manchester United win, but Watford launched an all-out attack at the final 20 minutes of the match, where they managed to score twice (77th and 84th minute). Watford also had some great chances to pull even, but Manchester United sealed the three points with a 4th goal at the 86th minute for the final 4-2. That was their second consecutive win, and third in their last four. Manchester United are still sitting at the 2nd spot of the Premier League with 32 points, 3 points ahead of Chelsea, but 8 points behind Manchester City. United have been so and so on the road so far (3-2-2), where they have scored 12 goals against 7 conceded. Moreover, they have won just two of their last five road matches in all competitions (2-3-0).
