There is a huge match-up coming our way from the Premier League on Saturday when Arsenal will play host to Liverpool. Arsenal is coming off a tough win in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, while Liverpool was eliminated in the previous round against Chelsea. However, Arsenal has been tremendous after losing their first two matches of the season and will look to extend their undefeated streak here. Liverpool would like to remain at the top spots of the Premier League, and this match seems like it will be a goal-fest.

Arsenal (7-2-1) did not have a very easy job in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, despite hosting League One side Blackpool. They made a great start in the match though and took a two-goal lead by the 50th minute. However, holding midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi saw his second yellow card of the night at the 56th minute, and that’s when things started to get complicated for the Gunners. Their opponents cut their lead down to one goal at the 66th minute and pressured had. But Arsenal held their own and moved to the quarter-finals of the competition. Last week in the Premier League they had a tough time in the London Derby against Crystal Palace, where they conceded two penalties on their way to a 2-2 draw. Arsenal is now sitting at the 4th spot of the Premier League with 22 points, having scored 24 goals, against 13 conceded. They have been really strong at home too (7-1-0 in all competitions) where they have won seven in a row after a tough loss against Manchester City.

On the other hand, Liverpool (8-0-2) are coming off a seemingly massive 1-4 win at home against Cardiff last week, but it was not as easy as the final score suggests. They did take the lead at the 10th minute with Salah but struggled to create solid chances till the hour mark. Sadio Mane extended their lead at the 66th minute, but Liverpool conceded a silly goal at the 77th. That goal woke them up, as they went on to score twice in a three-minute span to eventually win by 1-4. That was their third consecutive win in all competitions, but prior to that, they were winless in four (0-2-2). Liverpool is still sitting at the 2nd spot of the Premier League with 26 points, just as many as league leaders Manchester City. They have been excellent on the road too (4-1-1 in all competitions) where they have only kept two clean sheets.
