Uruguay might not be feeling very good about the outcome of their match against Portugal, despite the 1-2 win. Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani cooperated perfectly in the first minutes of the game, as Cavani took the lead for Uruguay at the 7th minute. However, their opponents were pushing harder by the minute and were slowly taking control of that match. Portugal managed to pull even at the 55th minute with Pepe, but Uruguay was not done yet. Cavani scored his second personal goal at the 62nd minute, only to be forced off the pitch just a few minutes later. Uruguay did win, but Cavani will almost certainly miss the match against France.
France was engaged in probably the most exciting and spectacular match of the World Cup so far. Wonderkid Kylian Mbappe tormented Argentina’s defense from the first minutes of the match and ended up giving the performance of his life. It was Antoine Griezmann who took the lead at the 13th minute from the penalty spot for France. But Argentina pulled even in the first half and overturned the lead in their favor at the start of the second. Pavard pulled even for France just minutes later, and Mbappe took over. Two personal goals gave a strong lead to France before Argentina scored nothing more than a consolation goal at the end of the match for the final 3-4.
