The MLS has finally begun, as the 2018 season started last week, and we saw some exciting things in the premiere. Let’s now take a look at two teams that failed to make a good impression last week. Atlanta United was destroyed on the road against the Houston Dynamo, and they will now look to make amends in their first home match of the season. Atlanta United (0-1-0) were stunning last season, in their first presence in the MLS, as they turned a lot of heads their way. However, they failed to bring that momentum in the new season, as they suffered a devastating loss on the road against the Houston Dynamo last week. They found themselves down by one goal at just the 5th minute of the match, and before they knew what hit them, they conceded two more goals at the 23rd and 27th minute. Moreover, they conceded the fourth goal at the stoppage time of the first half and were demoralized in the second half. They even missed a penalty kick in the 49th minute, and there is nothing positive to be taken from that match. Atlanta United have made some great additions in the off-season, with the most recognizable being that of USMNT winger Darlington Nagbe, who came from the Portland Timbers. They will only be missing Barco in this match, and they will be eager to make home advantage count here.

On the other hand, DC United (0-0-1) might be feeling hard-done about the outcome of their match in the premiere against Orlando City. They were dominant in the first half, as they were creating a lot of scoring chances while allowing none to their opponents. They missed the opportunity to take the lead at the 20th minute when Mattocks missed from the penalty spot but managed to take the lead 12 minutes later with Asad. Moreover, their opponents were left with ten men in the pitch at the 41st minute, and it all looked good for DC United. However, in a tragic turn of events, they failed to keep the clean sheet and the three points, as they were equalized at the third minute of stoppage time, for the final 1-1. They will need to improve their away presence this season, as last season they were tragic on the road. They will be coming here with a couple of doubts, as Canouse and Kemp are being listed as doubtful to participate.
