Pac-12 member Colorado will travel to one of the Big Ten’s hallmark programs the Michigan Wolverines in a collision of undefeated teams scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2016 with a 3:30 PM kick-off. Colorado (2-0) comes in off a 56-7 victory against FCS opponent Idaho State. Michigan (2-0) continues to cruise along as they enter off a 51-14 win against UCF, last Saturday. The game will be broadcasted on the Big Ten Network.
The Buffalos kicked off their 2016 campaign with style, as they mangled arch-rival Colorado State. In 2015, the Buffalos finished 4-9 wrapping up their campaign with a hideous five game losing streak. Colorado changed the tide in one foul swoop as the Buffalos would win 44-7 as just a touchdown favorite. CU would follow up this result with a 56-7 dismantling of Idaho State. CU’s defense is comprised of many experienced starters and upper classmen. Progress and maturity have been charted through their recent efforts. Senior quarterback Sefo Liufau has many games under his belt against big-time opponents. Liufau could easily go for 500 yards through the air when he is unabated.
Michigan has re-emerged on the national landscape, dazzling audiences in the process. In retrospect, the Wolverines have not beaten any of consequence yet in 2016. The victims include a jet-lagged Hawaii team and UCF who finished 0-12 in 2015. Needless to say, Colorado is a huge step in competition as the Wolverines are not dealing with an undefeated Power Five opponent.
- Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
- Wolverines are 7-1 SU in their last 8 contests.
- Buffalos have won their last 2 games.
- Over is 10-0 in last 10 fixtures involving Michigan.
