Chelsea has made a perfect start in the season as they have won both their matches so far. That includes a solid win in the London Derby against Arsenal last week, where they were pretty good. They will now have a seemingly easy task on Sunday when they will be hosted by Newcastle. Newcastle has not won any of their first two matches so far, and have been quite unlucky because of results and injuries to key players.

Newcastle (0-1-1) could have easily grabbed a point in the season opener against Tottenham, but they failed to do so. They eventually lost by 2-1 at home, but feel like they deserved more from that match. Newcastle was not very lucky in their second match either, where they were hosted by newcomers Cardiff. Both teams were pretty active in the offensive end and created a lot of scoring chances but without much luck. Newcastle was left with 10 men at the 66th minute but did not stop there. They kept on fighting for the result, and they actually got an excellent chance to escape with all three points. They were awarded a penalty kick deep in the stoppage time (96th minute), but Kenedy missed from the spot. The two teams eventually split the points in a goalless draw.

On the other hand, Chelsea (2-0-0) have been excellent so far in the season. They had a really comfortable job in the opener against Huddersfield on the road, as they blasted them by a harsh 3-0. Chelsea was really great in their second match as well, when they hosted London rivals Arsenal. Chelsea took a very early lead in that match when Pedro scored at the 9th minute. Chelsea kept on pushing and extended their lead to two goals a the 20th minute with Morata. However, Arsenal woke up and quickly responded, pulling even before the first half was over. Even so, Chelsea was clearly the better team in the pitch and acted like it. They eventually scored a late goal at the 81st minute with Marcos Alonso to eventually win by 2-3.
