Bayern Munich have been a dominant force in the German Bundesliga for so many years, and this season things have not been very different. They are comfortably leading the league with a massive lead ahead of the 2nd RB Leipzig, and are also on a twelve-match winning streak in all competitions. They will be looking to extend that lead, when they will be hosted by Wolfsburg on Saturday, February 17th. Wolfsburg are having a rough time this season, and are barely keeping themselves ahead of the relegation zone.

Bayern Munich (18-2-2) were engaged in a really competitive match against Schalke last week, where there were goals from both sides. Bayern Munich took the lead at the 6th minute, but were equlized at the 29th. Even so, they scored the winning goal at the 36th minute, and held on to their result. They have now won each of their last twelve matches in all competitions, but have kept just two clean sheets in their last seven matches regardless of host. They are still sitting at the top of the Bundesliga with 56 points, a massive eighteen-point distance ahead of the 2nd RB Leipzig. They also have the best road record in the league (8-2-1), where they have won each of their last five, conceding just once in the process. They have a Champions League match coming their way next Tuesday, and that just might keep them distracted in this match. They will be making this trip with just a few, but important, absences, as key goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is still on the injury list, while Arturo Vidal is suspended due to a red card. Moreover, Tiago Alcantara is still being listed as questionable to participate.

On the other hand, Wolfsburg (4-6-12) are coming into this match after a goal-fest on the road last week, when they fell by 1-3 against Werder Bremen. It was a really balanced match overall, but their opponents managed to take an early two goal lead, and Wolfsburg just couldn’t come back. Prior to that they were eliminated at the quarter-finals of the German Cup against Schalke, and have now won just once since December 9th (1-4-5). They are now sitting at the 13th spot of the Bundesliga with 24 points, just four points ahead of the relegation zone. They actually have the third fewest losses in the Bundesliga so far (6), but also the 2nd fewest wins (4) and the most draws (12). A trully peculiar season for Wolfsburg. They might have the fourth worst home record, and the fewest wins at home (2-2-7), but they have been really hard to beat. They haven’t kept a single clean sheet in their last five at home, and have kept just one there in twelve matches in all competitions. They will be unfortunate to have a decent amount of injury concerns ahead of this match, as Blaszczykowski, Brooks, Camacho, Tisserand, Verhaegh and Uduokhai are all being listed as questionable to participate.
