Patrick Maroon scored a pair of goals and Connor McDavid added a short-hand score in the second period to pace the Oilers against San Jose, while goalie Cam Talbot turned away 38 of the 40 shots he faced. The Oilers are the 10th-highest scoring team in the NHL with an average of 2.9 goals per games and they are seventh in goals allowed (2.5). McDavid leads the team in both goals (28) and assists (63) and Talbot has been the lead goalie all season long with a GAA of 2.37.
