Two old foes will meet when the AFC East and AFC West clash as the New York Jets travel across the country to face off with the Oakland Raiders. The two teams last met in 2015 where the Raiders defeated Gang Green by score of a 34-20. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:05 PM ET at Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California, otherwise known as The Black Hole. The game will be televised on CBS for regional audiences.
The two teams come in on differing notes. In Week One, Oakland cruised past Tennessee in a 26-16 victory in Nashville. On the contrary, the Jets fell on the road in Buffalo when they were defeated by the Bills by a score of 21-12 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The subject of conversation was the lack of offensive production by Gang Green. The Jets defense kept them in the game against Buffalo far longer than many anticipated but they simply could not hang the points on the board to capitalize or come away with a win.
