The Los Angeles Rams will go for the season sweep against the rival Seattle Seahawks this Thursday night at CenturyLink Field. Game time for this NFC West rematch is set for 8:25 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on NBC.
Los Angeles at Seattle Game Overview
The Rams are coming off one of their worst defeats of the season after getting hammered by Atlanta 42-14 this past Sunday as five-point home underdogs. They are now 4-9 on the year straight up with a 4-8-1 record against the spread. The total went OVER 43.5 points in that loss after staying UNDER in five of their previous six games. Los Angeles is 3-6-1 ATS this season when closing as an underdog.
Rookie quarterback Jared Goff completed 24 of his 41 passing attempts against the Falcons for 235 yards. He was picked off twice and sacked three times. The Rams gained another 104 yards on the ground led by Todd Gurley’s 61 yards rushing on 16 carries. Los Angeles is ranked last in the league in both yards per game (286.2) and scoring with an average of 14.9 points a game. Defensively, it is ranked 19th in points allowed (23.4).
Seattle will also be looking to rebound from a bad loss after getting pushed around by Green Bay 38-10 on Sunday as a three-point road favorite. Its record on the year stands at 8-4-1 SU with an even 6-6-1 mark ATS. Going back to a loss to New Orleans on Oct. 30, the Seahawks are 3-3-1 ATS over their last seven games and the total has gone OVER in four of their last six contests. They are 2-4-1 ATS in their last seven games closing as favorites.
It was a long afternoon in Green Bay for Russell Wilson. He ended that game with five interceptions against just one touchdown throw while only managing to complete 56.4 percent of his 39 passing attempts. Seattle did gain 136 yards on the ground with Thomas Rawls accounting for 67 rushing yards on 12 attempts. The bigger concern could be the sudden holes in the Seahawks’ vaunted defense which could not keep the Packers out of the end zone all game long.
