The Rams have scored 20+ points in all of their games but one this season and are averaging 30 ppg, best in the NFL. RB Todd Gurley is the centerpiece of the offense and has gained 100+ yards in 4 of the past 5 games. The Giants run defense is allowing 120.7 ypg and 4.2 ypc so look for Gurley to get at least 20 carries this week. Like Gurley, QB Jared Goff has had a resurgence in 2017, as he has an 8-3 TD/INT ratio and an acceptable QB rating of 93.2. New York has given up 258.7 passing ypg as their once-vaunted pass rush has tallied only 13 sacks on the year. They will also be without their top cornerback as Janoris Jenkins has been suspended by the team. The Rams don’t have a wideout that has to be accounted for but they are getting contributions from a number of players. Gurley leads the team with 23 receptions and his multi-dimensional skills will give the Giants problems this Sunday.

New York hasn’t scored more than 24 points in any game this year as myriad problems abound on that side of the ball. The o-line remains in disarray and they have also had injury concerns. The Giants average 83.3 ypg on the ground but have been better with RB Orleans Darkwa as the featured back. Los Angeles’ run defense has had their issues (123 ypg) but they have gotten better as the players have become more acclimated with DC Wade Phillips defense. QB Eli Manning has been put in a tough spot as the running game hasn’t taken off, the o-line has been bad and injuries have decimated the receiving corps. WR Sterling Shepard (check status) may be back this week and rookie TE Evan Engram has been Manning’s only reliable target. The Rams give up only 204.6 passing ypg so look for them to double Engram on occasion and force Manning to look elsewhere. LA has 23 sacks on the year while Manning has been dropped 17 times. He has also lost 2 fumbles.
