Sunday Night Football pits the 4-2 Cincinnati Bengals on the road against the 5-1 Kansas City Chiefs in a matchup between two of the top teams in the AFC this season. Game time on NBC from Arrowhead Stadium is set for 8:20 p.m. (ET).

The Bengals had a golden opportunity to get a leg up in the AFC North Division title race, but let it slip away in the closing minute of last Sunday’s 28-21 loss to bitter rival Pittsburgh as slight 1.5-point home favorites. Cincinnati got another solid effort from Andy Dalton against the Steelers with 229 yards passing and two touchdown throws while completing 26 of his 42 passing attempts. The Bengals’ defense got torched for 369 yards through the air, including Antonio Brown’s 31-yard catch and ran for a score with 10 seconds left on the clock.

For the second year in a row, Kansas City started the season with five straight wins before losing in Week 6. It was on the wrong end of a 43-40 shootout against New England last Sunday night. While the Chiefs drop to 5-1 SU, they remain perfect ATS after covering with the 3.5 points on the road. The total went way OVER the closing 59.5-point line after staying UNDER in their previous two games.
There is little doubt that Kansas City knows how to put points on the board. The big question for head coach Andy Reid moving forward from this loss is how to keep its opponents from doing the same thing. The Chiefs are ranked second in the NFL in scoring with 35.8 points per game behind Patrick Mahomes throwing the ball, Kareem Hunt running it and Tyreek Hill catching it. This trio of playmakers is surrounded by an excellent supporting cast. Defensively, Kansas City falls to 27th in points allowed (28.7).
