The highest-profile position on an NFL football field is quarterback. The game’s biggest stars play the position, and each of the league’s 32 team’s success or failure rests on that starter’s shoulders.
Given the importance of the quarterback position, it stands to reason that season-long quarterback props would command quite a bit of betting action heading into the new season. Using the updated quarterback prop bet odds at BetOnline sportsbook, here is a closer look at the best betting value on the board for the two most heavily bet quarterback futures.
Most Passing Yards
The two quarterbacks at the top of this NFL futures board are the Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes at +350 odds, followed closely by the Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott at +450.
Mahomes was second in the league last season in total passing yards with 4,740 in 15 regular-season games. Houston’s Deshaun Watson topped the list with 4,823 passing yards in the regular season. Watson’s off-field issues have him “off the board” at this time.
It would be hard to bet against Mahomes in these futures bets. Entering his fifth season in the NFL, he has already won league MVP honors and Super Bowl MVP honors in his first four seasons as the starter in Kansas City.
Prescott also offers some decent betting value in his odds after missing most of last season due to injury. Surrounded by some talented playmakers on offense, Dak will be looking to earn the huge contract extension he received this offseason. While some current shoulder soreness in his throwing arm could be a minor concern, look for Prescott to put up come with some big numbers throwing the ball this season.

Moving down the list, the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen is next at +1000, along with the Los Angeles Rams’ new starting quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Allen threw for 4,544 passing yards in last year’s break-out season with the Bills. This was ranked fifth on the list.
After spending his whole NFL career in Detroit playing for more than a few bad offenses, Stafford has an excellent chance to light things up with LA. He should get every chance in the world to quickly move the ball down the field through the air.
Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers joins Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady and Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow at +1400 betting odds to round out the top players on this futures betting board.
Most Passing Touchdowns
The updated futures board for most touchdown throws during the 2021 NFL regular season also has Mahomes at the top of the list at +375 odds. However, Brady is next at +575, closely followed by Rodgers at +650 odds.
Rodgers led the way last season with 48 touchdown throws on his way to another career MVP trophy. Brady matched Seattle’s Russell Wilson with 40 scoring throws, which was the second-most in the final tally.
Wilson joins Allen at +900 odds to round out the top five quarterbacks on this NFL futures bet. Of the five, I would still go chalk on Mahomes as the favorite. He has the best chance to top this list, given the overall consistency in the Chiefs’ offense.
Who knows how Rodgers will play this season, given his rocky relationship with Green Bay’s front office. Brady turned 44 earlier this month to make a repeat of last year’s performance a bit more difficult.
Wilson overachieved last year, and Allen may be one more year away from legitimately challenging Mahomes for the top honors in either of these quarterback futures.
