Purdue-Ohio State Betting Odds
This week’s college football betting lines opened the Buckeyes as 20-point favorites over the Boilers, with an over/under of right around 62. Early betting action then bumped OSU to -21, and that total to 62.5.
Purdue Betting Preview
The Boilermakers are 6-3 on the season, bowl-eligible for the first time in three seasons, after beating No. 3 Michigan State at home last week 40-29. Purdue turned an early takeaway into a
touchdown and led 21-14 at the half. The Boilers then allowed the Spartans to tie the game at 21-21 early in the third quarter but used a 16-0 spurt to take control, on their way toward winning outright as 2.5-point dogs.
Purdue out-gained Michigan State 594-458, held a 35:25 edge in time of possession, and won the turnover battle 2-1.
The Boilermakers have now out-gained seven of their nine opponents this season, including Notre Dame.
At 4-2 in conference play, Purdue is tied for the lead in the Big Ten West with Wisconsin and Minnesota. However, the Boilers already lost to both the Badgers and Gophers, so they’ve got to make up a full game on both to win the division.
Ohio State Betting Preview
The Buckeyes, meanwhile, are 8-1 on the season after holding off Nebraska in Lincoln last week 26-17. Ohio State scored the first 10 points of the game and led 17-10 at the half. The Buckeyes then scored the first six points out of the locker room and held on from there for the victory.
However, OSU came up short against the spread as a 14-point favorite.
Ohio State out-gained the Cornhuskers 495-361 but only ran the ball 30 times for 90 yards and turned it over twice, helping keep Nebraska in the game.
The Buckeyes have now out-gained every opponent this season and out-rushed six of their nine foes.
At 6-0 in conference play, Ohio State leads the Big Ten East by one game over second-place Michigan State and Michigan. The Buckeyes host the Spartans next week, then finish the regular season at Ann Arbor.
Ohio State is also ranked No. 4 in this week’s CFP poll, but one more slip-up would kill their chances.

The Buckeyes lead the all-time series with the Boilers 39-15-2, but Purdue is actually 5-8 SU, 9-4 ATS over the last 13 meetings between the teams.
