The Army Black Knights (5-2) and Eastern Michigan Eagles (4-4) will do battle in Ypsilanti, Michigan on Saturday, September 29th, 2018. The two teams will face off at 12:00 PM ET and the contest will be aired on ESPN+ streaming. Despite Eastern Michigan representing the Mid-American Conference while the Black Knights are independent, the two teams know each other quite well. The two sides have met seven times over the last decade with the Boys from West Point winning six of those affairs. Last year’s meeting in West Point was nothing short of a thriller as the Black Knights escaped with a 28-27 win on a game-winning field goal to break the Eagles’ heart, but allowing them to cover as a 4.5-point pup. EMU is 3-2 ATS in the last five meetings.

Army Black Knights at Eastern Michigan Eagles Overview
Army Black Knights
The Black Knights come in off a double-overtime donnybrook last week when they edged out the resilient Miami Ohio Red Hawks by a score of 31-30. In this spot, we saw Army spotting 6.5 points to the Hawks. Despite the Black Knights leading by as much as 14 and taking a double-digit lead into the fourth quarter, the Red Hawks simply would not go away.
Eastern Michigan Eagles
The Eagles come in off a 42-20 drubbing of Ball State on its own field, last Saturday generating an easy cover as a 2.5-point favorite. Presently, EMU is riding a two-game winning streak after they capsized defending MAC Champion Toledo at home two weeks ago by a score of 28-26.
Reasons To Avoid Army
Army enters into this contest in a notorious let-down spot. The Black Knights enter off a hard-fought overtime win and have to take the road against a team who is heating up. This sets up Army to come in flat. However, the public only sees the Black Knights priced as a dog here and cannot resist the points which in itself raises another red flag.
Reasons To Back Eastern Michigan
Motivation is the prime reason to back the Eagles here. As we mentioned, this team had the Army squad on the ropes last year before the game simply got away from them. However, the Eagles get a chance to redeem themselves at home and notch themselves ever so closer to qualifying for a bowl game after missing the chance in 2017 due to being a victim of in-game variance. We expect the EMU Revenge Tour to put another good show here against a possible beleaguered Army team.
