With the 2018 College Football Season just around the corner, the always competitive Southeastern Conference affectionately known as the SEC is primed with teams that are looking to win the country’s toughest league. The Dawgs thumped rival Auburn 28-7 in the 2017 SEC Championship and look to be in a position to once again reign supreme in the East and punch their ticket to another appearance in Atlanta. Given the fact UGA returns many vital pieces of their vaunted defense in shut down corner DeAndre Baker, star safety JR Reed, and a vicious front seven anchored by defensive lineman Tyler Clark and linebacker D’Andre Walker, the Bulldog Nation offers tremendous upside priced here.

2018 SEC TITLETOP CONTENDER

The Dawgs’ arch nemesis poses to be the best choice in the pool of contenders. As a whole, the East division is not as competitive as it has been in years past. The Dawgs are clearly the elite team in the division but that never meant anything to their most hated foe the Gator Nation. The bottom line is that the Cocktail Party has often settled the account of the East winner on many occasions and one can deduce that the Gators have circled the date as they have every year prior. With Tennessee in a transition period, along with winnable fixtures against Mizzou, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt the Gators could find itself with an opportunity to play in a game of consequence under new head coach Dan Mullen who enjoyed success with the Orange and Blue previously as its Offensive Coordinator.

2018 SEC TITLE TOP DARK HORSE

From the East comes another outfit that poises to be a potentially juicy dark horse. There are a lot of things to like about the direction that the Gamecocks are headed in. Their defense poses to continue to be a formidable force under coordinator Tavaris Robinson and the team will enter into 2018 carrying the momentum from a nine-win season in 2017. The Gamecocks did this for the most part under the radar as the emergence of the Bulldog Nation, Auburn’s playoff aspirations, and the presence of the Crimson Tide swept all the conference headlines. However, South Carolina is not to sleep on by any means. Ten wins is indeed a manageable prospect for Cocky but if they can catch some greased lightning along the way they can potentially find themselves in Atlanta. At the price offered here, a 9-4 team in the year previous with the quality of this outfit bodes excellent value.
