By David Schwab

NBA TV’s doubleheader of betting action this Monday night comes to a close with a Pacific Division matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors in the first meeting this season. Game time from ORACLE Arena tonight is 10:30 p.m.

Phoenix at Golden State Game Overview

The Suns’ current SU losing streak reached five games with Saturday’s 123-113 loss to Denver as seven-point home underdogs. They are 1-4 against the spread in this most recent slide with the total going OVER in four of the five games. Phoenix is 18-39 SU (26-29-2 ATS) overall with a 9-18 record on the road. That is well above a points-allowed average of 112.6, which is already ranked dead-last in the league. Forward TJ Warren led all scorers in Saturday’s loss with 31 points while going 13-for-17 from the floor. Devin Booker is the Suns’ leading scorer this season with 24.1 PPG, but he remains out of the lineup with a hip injury.

Golden State has been struggling with consistency since the end of January with a 3-3 run (SU and ATS) in its last six games, but it looked true to form on Saturday with a 122-105 romp over San Antonio as a 10.5-point home favorite. The Warriors are 6-2 SU in their last eight home games while going 3-4-1 ATS. The total has gone OVER in six of those eight games. They are 21-7 SU at home this season with a 12-15-1 record ATS.

All five starters for the Warriors ended Saturday’s game in double figures following a slow start out of the gate in which San Antonio took a 10-point first quarter lead. Klay Thompson led the way with 25 points, and David West added 13 points off the bench. Golden State shot 56.5 percent from the field, and it converted on 44.4 percent of its 27 shots from three-point range. The Warriors remains the highest scoring team in the NBA with an average of 115.6 PPG.
