New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls Pick

By Keith F

The Chicago Bulls (22-58) and the New York Knicks (16-64) will meet for an Eastern Conference collision on Tuesday, April 9th, 2019. The tip is set for 8:00 PM ET and will be televised on both MSG and WGN. Overall, the tale of the tape has been a well-balanced one. The Bulls and Knicks have each won two of the last four contests between the two sides. Two of these four matches required overtime. Most recently, the Knicks defeated the Bulls by a score of 113-105 when they hosted them eight days ago. In doing so, New York fostered a cover as a 3.5-point favorite.

New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls Overview

New York Knicks

The Knicks enter in off an impressive late-season win when they hosted the Washington Wizards in the Big Apple on Sunday. Closing as a four-point underdog, New York staged a 113-110 upset of the Wizards to end a two-game losing streak.

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls enter in overall poor form as they have won just one game in their seven contests. Most recently, the Bulls were pummeled at home on Saturday at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers. Closing as a 9.5-point underdog, Chicago was nowhere near close to covering as they were defeated by a margin of 20 points.

Reasons To Back New York

The Knicks own one of the worst margins on the road this season as they are outscored on average by 11.1 points in away games. As a result, the Knicks have posted a horrible road record of 7-32 SU overall. Despite all of this, the Knicks are being offered as quite a low-priced underdog which raises our eyebrows. Seemingly, the Bulls may look too easy here as 76% of the consensus like Chicago in this spot.

Reasons To Avoid Chicago

It could very well be the case that Chicago may be the less motivated of the two teams participating in this contest. After all, New York has played .500-basketball despite owning the worst record in the NBA. Contrarily, Chicago is likely looking to get this game over and done with. Their poor form would suggest that they are just waiting for the season to end at this point and they can very well come in flat to this fixture.
