The Cleveland Cavaliers will travel to Oakland, CA to face off with the Golden State Warriors at the Oracle Arena for Game Two of the NBA Finals. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM and is to be aired on ABC. In Game One, the Warriors trampled the Cavaliers 104-89 jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the series. The betting odds on Game 2 opened with the Warriors -6.5 on the point spread line and a total offered up at 206. We’ve seen movement on those lines with some of the sharper books lowering the line to -6 and the O/U line has increased to as high as 209 at some betting shops.

Golden State has now won their last six against Cleveland from Game One dating back to their dominance of Cleveland in last year’s NBA Finals. Game One followed script, Cleveland once again looked lost against the Warriors and their sub-par play all year long away from the Quicken Loans Arena, enhanced this result. Matters could have been much worse for Cleveland for they trailed by as much as 20 points and never led by more than a three-ball. Golden State’s bread and butter is shooting the three.
After Game One, the Warriors are 57-41-2 ATS. Cleveland has now fallen to 46-48-3. Alas from these analytics we can see that Cleveland is more likely to be overvalued than the Warriors, despite Golden State having a higher propensity due to their status as defending champion.
65% of the public are taking the Warriors against the spread. On the contrary, 53% of the public are with the Cavs on the Money Line at +210. Despite the market being identical to Game One, we have seen a flux in this market, as more were keen to lay the juice with Golden State at -260 in the opening game. The Total Line is currently offered at 208.5 with 74% of the consensus liking the over.
