In Week 2 NFL football action we have AFC South division rivals the Titans and the Jaguars kicking off in Jacksonville at 1PM EDT on EverBank Field on Sept/17/2017. The odds maker at Bovada (100% Bonus – Up To $250 Free) lists Tennessee as a -3 road favorite on the point spread line with the total line at 42 points.
Tennessee fell 26-16 to Oakland in their home opener. QB Marcus Mariota was 25-41 for 256 yards. He didn’t throw a TD or interception and was sacked once. TE Delanie Walker had 7 catches for 76 yards. The running game was successful (21-95) and it was surprising they didn’t run the ball more. The defense had 2 sacks but gave up 250 passing yards. They also gave up 109 yards on the ground as they couldn’t get the Raider offense off of the field for most of the day.
Jacksonville had their best Week 1 performance since 2001 with a 29-7 drubbing of the Texans at Houston. QB Blake Bortles was 11-21 for 125 yards and a TD. He wasn’t sacked and didn’t commit a TO. Rookie RB Leonard Fournette gave the team exactly what they wanted with 100 yards on the ground and a rushing TD. As a team, the Jaguars ran for 155 yards on 39 carries. The win was costly, however, as WR Allen Robinson was lost for the year with a torn ACL. The defense compiled 10 sacks (4 by DE Calais Campbell) and DE Dante Fowler returned a fumble 53 yards for a score. MLB Myles Jack had 14 tackles.
