Flaherty (0-0, 3.86) is 0/2 on quality starts this season. First, he gave up four runs and seven hits through 4 1/3 innings against Milwaukee, although St. Louis won that game 9-5. Then last Friday he held San Diego scoreless on six hits through five innings of a game the Cardinals eventually lost 5-3. But he needed 98 pitches to get those 15 outs and was pulled three outs short of a QS.
So St. Louis is 1-1 with Flaherty this season, with the overs going 2-0.
In two starts last year against the Dodgers Flaherty allowed just two runs and five hits through 12 innings, with 18 strikeouts. The Cardinals split those two games, with the unders going 0-2.
