Gonzalez will be making his first appearance in the playoffs in this game and in his last start of the regular season he was solid not giving up any earned runs and only allowing three hits in five innings in an 11-0 win over the Detroit Tigers. The Brewers won all five of Gonzalez’s starts after coming over in a trade with the Washington Nationals in late August. In three of Gonzalez’s five starts for Milwaukee he did not give up any earned runs, and in the other two outings he gave up three earned runs in each.
In six career playoff starts, all with the Nationals, he did not register a decision. In six career starts against the Dodgers Gonzalez is 4-1 with an ERA of 1.89. This will be his first start against the Dodgers this season.
