Stroman is 0/2 on quality starts this season. First, he gave up three runs in less than four inning against the Brewers, although New York won that game anyway 12-3. Then last Saturday he allowed four runs in four innings against the Pirates, although the Yanks won that game 10-4.
So New York is 2-0 with Stroman this season, although he didn’t have much to do with that. Also, the overs are 2-0 with Stroman.
In his one start last season against San Francisco, Stroman allowed one ER and five hits through 7 1/3 innings of a 6-2 Yankees win.
Ray is 1/2 on quality starts this year. First, he allowed three runs through 5 1/3 innings of a 6-3 Giants victory over Cincinnati. Then, last Saturday, he held the Mariners to one run and four hits through six frames of a 4-1 San Francisco win.
So the Giants are 2-0 with Ray, the totals 1-1.
This will be Ray’s first start against the Yankees since 2022, which is already a long time ago.
