MLB Betting Odds
Sunday’s baseball betting market opened Los Angeles and Glasnow at around -250 over Chicago and Rae, with an O/U of 8.5. Early betting action bumped that line to -270.
Cubs-Dodgers Betting Preview
Los Angeles took the opener of this series Friday night 3-0 but Chicago grabbed Saturday night’s game 16-0. Yea, 16-0.
The Cubs led Saturday’s game 2-0 through six innings, then scored five runs in the seventh, four in the eighth, and five more in the ninth to hand the Dodgers a most embarrassing defeat.
Los Angeles won Friday as a -170 favorite on the dime line with Yamamoto and covered against the run line at a price of +120. But Chicago won Saturday as a +160 underdog.
So the Dodgers are now 3-1 against the Cubs this season.
Sunday’s Pitching Match-Up
Glasnow owns one good outing this season and one bad one. First, he tossed five innings of two-hit, shutout ball against Atlanta in a 6-1 Los Angeles victory. But then last Sunday at Philadelphia he gave up five runs on just two hits but five walks in an 8-7 Dodgers loss.
Last year, Glasnow hit 14/22 on quality starts before going out for the season in August with an elbow injury.
This will be Glasnow’s first start against the Cubs since 2017, which is a very long time ago on the Baseball calendar.
Rae is making his first start of this season following three appearances in relief. Most recently, last Monday, he threw two innings of perfect relief against Texas. And on the season, he’s thrown 5 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing five hits, with zero walks against two strikeouts.
Last year, pitching for Milwaukee, Rae hit 7/27 on quality starts, posting a 4.29 ERA through 168 total innings.
In his one start last year against the Dodgers Rae got clipped for seven runs and four home runs through six frames of a 7-2 Brewers loss.
