Monday’s Pitching Match-Up

Syndergaard is 3/8 on quality starts this season, running hot-and-cold as of late. Last Tuesday against the Yankees, he gave up five runs and seven hits through just 2 1/3 innings of a 9-1 Los Angeles loss. Just before that, he held Texas to one run through eight innings, but just before that, he gave up six runs – four earned – in less than one inning against those same Rangers.
