The Alouttes will try to break off a three game losing streak straight up and against the spread when they travel to Ontario to take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday night. These two played back in July and Hamilton was easy victor winning 31-7. The CFL odds board shows that the lines makers think that it will be more of the same with the Ti-Cats a large 9-point favorite. The total line is being offered at 53 points.
Montreal continues to play itself out of contention in the East with just one straight-up win in its last six games while also going 1-5 against the spread. The switch from Kevin Glenn to Rakeem Cato at quarterback added a bit of a spark the with team tallying 27 points last week, but the Alouettes were constantly playing from behind after going down 15-3 by the end of the first quarter. Montreal has lost four of its first five division games this season both SU and ATS.
The Tiger-Cats are just a game and a half out of first place in the jumbled East at 5-6 (SU and ATS), but they continue to struggle with any kind of consistency on offense . They also fell behind early in this past Sunday’s 33-21 loss to Toronto as 6.5-point road favorites only to take a four-point lead into halftime following a 20-point outburst in the second quarter.
