The Lions punched their ticket to the division finals with a thrilling 32-31 come from behind victory against Winnipeg in a game they trailed 28-12 in the third quarter. They failed to cover as five-point home favorites and the total went OVER the closing 55.5-point line. BC has now won its last four games SU while going 3-1 ATS. The total has gone OVER in five of its last seven games.
Jonathon Jennings overcame a very shaky start that included two first quarter turnovers to end the day with 329 passing yards and two touchdown throws. He completed 26-of-35 attempts, but his nine-yard touchdown run late in the game proved to be the difference. Jeremiah Johnson was the team’s leading rusher with 110 yards and a score on 11 carries.
Calgary has been basically unstoppable the entire year and the ended the regular season at 15-2-1. During a SU 14-game winning streak it went 10-2 ATS over the final 12 games of that run. Ironically enough, the Stampeders opened their 2016 CFL campaign with a 20-18 loss to BC as 2.5-point road favorites. Add in the fact that running back Jerome Messam led the league in both rushing yards (1,198) and rushing touchdowns (11) and you can see why this team won so many games this year.
